Following in the footsteps of 3 extraordinary V-Day Wilkes-Barre campaigns, we are proud to be chosen to participate in the V-Day 2008 Community Campaign, having been granted the rights for a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s new play, “A Monologue, A Memory, A Rant, and A Prayer” to raise money and awareness for local organizations that work to stop violence against women and girls.V-Day Wilkes-Barre 2008 will stage our one-night only event on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at 8:00pm, at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, 537 N. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Tickets are $25.00.Since its inception in 2005, V-Day Wilkes-Barre has made great strides in raising both local awareness and funds by joining with thousands of V-Day events around the world, in order to make a difference. And 2008 hopes to be our best year yet.We are asking for your help. We hope we can depend on your support in making V-Day Wilkes-Barre 2008 another extraordinary celebration and an event that makes a difference by raising the awareness and funds needed to stop violence against women and girls in Wilkes-Barre, the US, and around the world.Profits from V-Day Wilkes-Barre 2007 will be donated to Domestic Violence Service Center and Victim’s Resource Center–local organizations working to stop the violence. With the never-ending funding shortages facing the domestic violence movement, your support is critical to maintaining these necessary services in our community.In exchange for your generosity, your company will be featured on V-Day Wilkes-Barre’s communications and promotional material.
