In 2006, over 50 authors, playwrights, and celebrities contributed writings to the 2-week long New York festival, Until the Violence Stops. From that exceptional and ground-breaking event, A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer (MMRP) was born. All of the proceeds from the book, published in 2007 and edited by Eve Ensler and Mollie Doyle, benefit the V-Day movement.
Director Christine E. Rock is proud to announce the following essays from the book will be performed for V-Day Wilkes-Barre 2009’s production of A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant, and A Prayer, to be held on Friday, February 6, 2009, at 8:00pm, at Little Theatre of Wilkes-Barre, 537 N. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
Tickets are $25.00, with proceeds benefiting The Victims Resource Center, a local organization working to stop violence.
